a not-for-profit corporation.
First season: Winter 1986
Area of operation: Bergen
County, New Jersey area.
Charter towns: 4 - Montvale,
River Vale, Woodcliff Lake, Hillsdale.
First season: 12 teams, 4 each in Division 3, 4 and 5. Approximately. 120
players.
2003 season towns: 25
members covering 27 towns
2003 season teams: 152 teams. Approximately 1,700 players - 1,650
families
2003 season total games: 918 games
Programs offered: complete
program for boys and girls ages 6 -16. Five age brackets.
League Principles: Good
sportsmanship, children’s safety and enjoyment comes first, players must
reside in town they represent, “low pressure” competition
Founder: Charles Ticho,
current president.
Government: Written
constitution establishing Board of Directors made up of one
representative from each member town. Board of Directors elects a nine member
Trustees Committee which is in charge of day-to-day operations.
Nature of competition: Eight
- game season followed by playoffs for all teams.
Growth history: thirteen
consecutive record breaking seasons.
