PROPER HANDLING OF LAST MINUTE
CANCELLATIONS AND POSTPONEMENTS
In order to avoid the confusion that has occurred in prior
seasons (when several gymnasiums were closed) the Trustees have
established to following procedures that you must follow in the
event of any future closings.
1. It is the responsibility of the "home" town representative
or assistant town representative to notify the responsible
parties of a closure or postponement.
2. The "home" town representative or assistant town
representative must immediately notify the "visiting" town
representative or assistant town representative by phone of the
closure or postponement.
3. In the event that the "visiting" town representative or
assistant town representative cannot be reached, the "home" town
representative or assistant town representative must notify by
telephone each of the "visiting" coaches or assistant "visiting"
coaches. (A complete listing of all the coaches is available in
the Reference Book area on the PVISL website).
4. In addition, the "home" town representative or assistant town
representative must call the referee assigner John Brigandi at
home at 201-767-3761 or his cell phone 201-280-7063 or Ken
Hoffman on his cell phone at 201-294-3918.
If you
are unable to reach John or Ken, you must call Gary Don at home at
201-664-1985 or Charlie Arak on his cell phone 201-317-4308.
Failure to follow this procedure may result in forfeits of your
home game and additional costs for referees.
PAYMENT PROCEDURE REGARDING REFEREES WHEN GAMES ARE CANCELLED OR
POSTPONED
The
following rules apply regarding postponements and cancellations:

gym, he is NOT entitled to the game fee.
2) If the Referee does not find out a game has been
cancelled or postponed until he arrives at the gym, he is
entitled to receive a 30.00 fee. |
